This page states the legal boundaries of credentials issued under the JIAOZI protocol. It is not legal advice.

Scope of effect

JIAOZI credentials are technical trust credentials. They are not statutory electronic certification, are not to be used as electronic signatures, and do not endorse the legal validity of any transaction or act.

Private attestation framework

JIAOZI provides interoperable identity attestation for AI agents based on the did:web method. Credentials issued by JIAOZI are attestations within our private trust framework and are recognized by participating parties, not by any government, regulator, or public root program. They are not qualified electronic signatures, qualified electronic seals, or qualified certificates under eIDAS (EU) 2024/1799, and JIAOZI is not a publicly-trusted Certificate Authority under CA/Browser Forum requirements.

JIAOZI is a private attestation framework for AI agents. It is not a qualified trust service under eIDAS, not a publicly-trusted Certificate Authority, and does not issue TLS/SSL certificates.

Data and cross-border transfer

Only de-identified digests and hashes cross borders. Source code and private data never leave your machine. Local checkup runs on the applicant's device; verification stays free and requires no account.
